What features do you want to see in Left 4 Dead 3? There is always room for improvements to make each Left 4 Dead game better than before. Are there special infected you want to see carried over from the first two L4D’s, or how about removed all together?
Valve is great when it comes to listening to fan’s opinions and tries to satisfy us all. Fans wanted to see more melee weapons such as chainsaws, swords and bats and they got just that in Left 4 Dead 2. Now is your chance to voice your likes and dislikes and tell us what you want to see in Left 4 Dead 3 when it gets released.
How do you guy like the current weapons and items available? Do you want more or less weapons to choose from?
I would like to see Left 4 Dead 3 go back to darker maps and try to bring back the scary atmosphere the original has over the sequel. Give me more maps like Blood Harvest where survivors have to fight through dense woods and more endless cornfields.

I’m back after so long lol.
So first I say let’s revamp the tank a little, I’d like to see the throw ability be able to work on vehicles. Sure he can punch cars around no problem, but if he could pick up the vehicle it will take him a bit to get it over his head leaving him vulnerable during the lift; with a great increase in accuracy when dealing with cars. So while the destructive potential of the tank increases it also gives the survivors a chance to stand still for a few seconds and put an entire magazine into the tank.
Next some ideas to gameplay/traversing the maps. I’d like to see more barricades that need to be destroyed to continue through the map, kind of like what we had in the “cold stream” campaign. Although instead of the Horde attacking while you are destroying the barricade have an entire Horde that has been waiting on the other side. Well of course you will still have the usual zombies attacking you before the barricade is destroyed. Perhaps even have the barricade events where you have to gather up the items and one in place you can detonate them to destroy the barricade. Perhaps even a potential thought if you happen to run into a tank right before you can try to lure it over to the area and try to get the tank to throw a rock or car at the barricade also destroying it.
Survivors! other survivors that you can encounter throughout the maps and i’m talking about survivors from the previous games such as on the passing where nick, coach, Ellis, and Rochelle meet up with Francis, Bill, Louis, and Zoey. What I’m saying here is survivors like the ones that had tried to escape before you, perhaps the ones that were writing notes on the safe room walls. So when you come across them some may of mentally broken down acting hysterically, some may of holed up somewhere giving up on moving forward or possibly waiting for friends they believe are still alive and heading their way. So this can also lead to some side quests in the maps, So one survivor may ask you to see if you can find their friend. The one you are looking for could be ahead or behind you so you will have to go find them. Once found you will then escort the survivor to their friend they will assist you just as any other AI while following you. Once you re-unite them you’ll be rewarded in perhaps a medpack, ammo, a spare gun they had, ect… Now not all survivors will be a friendly some may just end up attacking you on the spot thinking you will just kill them.

I think there should be a new weapon mechanic for alternate uses on some weapons. Zooming in with a sniper rifle is a good example of how this would work. Guns with scopes get to zoom in/out, while machine guns and even some shotguns (like the Spas) can be toggled between auto to semi-automatic settings. But many guns wouldn’t have a 2nd use, like Uzi’s and other low-tier guns.
Alternate uses doesn’t just apply to guns, however, as even some melee weapons would have this feature, like using the front of an ax for slow swings, then switching to the sharp-pointed back to get through a door, or maybe just for different ways to swing it, like the downward slashes that were removed.

Left4Dead 3 idea.
The game is splitted in 3 campains:
1) (Continues) from left4dead 2: takes place in US where the survivals (maybe some of the 7 from last episode) makes there way out from US (because 98% of the US is infected and no other place to be, no food etc.) They travel to Europe over Greenland -> Iceland -> Scandinavia -> East Europe -> Russia
2) (New Story): Survivals from East Asia (China ect.) finds out that there is no place save because there is more people in china/india etc. = more infected. So they go West across Asia.
3) (New Story): Survivals from South-West Europe goes South (to North Africa) -> here they meet up with some other survivals from (Central/South Africa) together they find out Europe and Central/South Africa is not secure, so the go East (via middle east – war zone) then north.
They all (story1 ,2 and 3) meet up in a central place (like Istanbul), here they fight the last stand, because their individuel story/journey (across different places) takes their hope and planning to keep going to new places. Here the Left4Dead 3 ends with a great deffensive war from all 3groups of survivals where they get attacked from all sides…LAST STAND..
All 3 stories with different climates/zones/infected/special infected/animals/weather/weapons/food/problems etc. all 3 differences meets in the last(or few last stages) around istanbul, where the 3 groups together with there run had dragged the special infected with them, so everything gets mixed up. (from here you can go on with Left4Dead4)…
You need to include food/drink/candy as minimal healing effect and temporary special effect(like moral boost, energy, some get more healing but gets slover for some time ect.)..
Maybe get an extra bar (morale bar), which effect (up/neutral/down) the quickness, aiming, spirit between the survivals etc.
it would be very interesting as the new story shows a bigger picture of the world situation, plus from different points of view, where they all meet up in centrum twisting/merging.. Here they all realise that mankind really is LEFT4DEAD…

you should have animals infected you should have a map in the forest in south america new weaapons and maps and attachments for weapons you should make new modes and a big map for multiplayer were you have to search buildings to survive and l4d1 and l4d2 was great.
Here’s an idea for a new Special infected, he’s called The Ricochet. He is covered in large, flat, armor-like plates on the outside of his body, mainly on his back, while his front is actually very weak and almost bony. With these plates of shell-like armor, he is able to curl himself up into a ball, much like an armadillo, and begin to roll around.
He’s rather slow and “wonky” when trying to move around un-curled, but he automatically curls himself once you start moving fast enough, or when you use his special. When rolling, his “shell” is immune to bullets, and he can quickly pick up speed as he rolls around, but ricocheting (bouncing) off of walls like a pinball reduces his speed.
His primary special attack (other than trampling survivors like a charger) is that he (when uncurled) will grab hold of a survivor and curl up around them (there’s plenty of room inside because he’s so skinny).
Doing this doesn’t actually do any damage, not until he begins slamming and bouncing off of walls with the survivor, hurting them on each impact. But the survivors are not powerless, however, as they also have a slight degree of control when rolling, almost able to steer the Ricochet into out of an impact, And the Ricochet also will take damage over time, due to being up against the struggling survivor for so long, + additional damage to himself if an impact is too great. The survivor is released when he comes to a stop
Being completely bullet proof on his shell, the only option is to hit him in his soft underbelly, made up for by how little health he would have (200-ish) and by his weak melee attack. His ability to trample over survivors makes him a bigger threat in tight corridors, much like a charger
And as an added bonus, he can be melee’d by a Tank, like a car or dumpster, sending him hurling towards the survivors, earning points for both himself and the Tank for the damage done. But this can be a double edged sword, because the survivors can also affect his roll using any type of explosive.

More secondary weapons (more kind of granades, knifes guns etc)
u got a point better AI because i got snatched by a smoker and NICK the ai JUST LEFT ME NICK WAS RIGHT INFORNT OF ME N THEN I RAGE QUIT.
what I think they should do to improve the AI for when they can’t find you is make the bot perform these checks:
A. Can they draw a line of site to you? (like for the spawning in vs).
if yes, then shoot the infected/save the player.
if no, then B. Can they walk to a nearby spot where they can see you?
If yes, go there, then shoot/save the player.
if no, then C. Follow the steps the player did, then check for sight.
This should make it near impossible for them to not rescue you, but if all this still fails, then they should simply teleport to you like usual.
I would also like to se body parts. If you cut a sombies arm with a sword, it should be an armless sombie
And gunholes in the environment and on the sombies when you shoot them!
Special infected should sometimes use weapons!
Like throwing stones, using knifes or bats.
Maybe some normal infected should wear smaller weapons sometimes.
It would be cool if it was day or morning sometimes.
In one level i would like everything to be pitch black, sou you kneed nightvisiongoogles to see the dead!

i heard/saw something about a zombie dog that can be in l4d3 and i know what it should do. It should do an action similar to the hunter by pouncing a survivor and biting it on the face until it has been removed from your chest but even after it has been removed it should be able to do it again in a single life or maybe not(by the way id did not steal zombie dog i just agreed to it) thank you p.s. hope l4d3 is out soon:D

All kinds of explosion will either knock you back or let you fly away, depending how close you stand. If you fly, you’ll also get burn damage for 5 seconds. Same with SI, but they’ll burn until they’re dead. Boomers won’t fly but explode. Chargers and Tanks won’t fly also.
If a Smoker pulls you off a ledge he can release his tongue or continue choking the sh*t out of you. Same with Jockey. He can either keep sitting on your back, doing damage or jump off.
More little variations in the look of the SI and more big ones in the look of the CI. More different types of Uncommon infected. CI’s looks are adjusted to the kind of map (power station, science lab, etc.)

All l4d and l4d2 campaings should be available in Left 4 Dead 3 (after a while)
Rare gear like gas mask, fire-/bulletproof west can randomly be found in the level, each gives different boni, can only be used by one survivor, takes double the time of a medipack heal to equip bodywear, the same time as a heal to equip face- and footwear (can only be equipped where it lies, like using a generator), has a “health” bar and when this one took too much hits and is empty the gear will become unusable and the survivor drops it (each kind of gear has a different amount of “health” and takes as much damage as a survivor would take from whatever)
Gas mask: Boomer bile and mudmen hits won’t blind you as much as normal, Smoker smog won’t affect you, 25% more control when grabbed by a jockey because he can’t claw your face, 1st person view is like actually wearing a mask and because of that you can’t use the scopes of sniper rifles, -50 healthpoints-
Hazmat suit (without mask): Fire won’t hurt you but the suit, Spitter acid does – 25% damage, Boomer bile lasts 5 seconds shorter, -75 healthpoints-
Bulletproof west: – 75% damage from firearms, – 50% from melee (friendly fire) and explosions, – 25% damage from all kinds of hits, Smoker pulls you 25% slower, decreased flying range when hit by charger or tank or any explosions, -25% run speed, -100 healthpoints-
Fun fact: Coach will finally get his armor.

Ammo belt: + 50 shotgun and sniper rifle ammo, + 200 SMG ammo, + 150 rifle ammo, instant refills the whole ammo of the M60 and the grenade launcher but is used after that, ammo from the belt is shown yellow in the side hud and if the belt breaks it takes all the bonus ammo from you, -75 healthpoints-
Note: The gear won’t give you like +50 HP it will only take damage while you take damage too, it’s no steel armor.
Head- and footwear can be combined with bodywear, but the boni never add up and if you wear the bulletproof west with the army boots it still will make you 25% slower.
I think that’s fair enough.
At the versus loading screen the whole screen is filled with a list of the killing and most damage information etc. so everybody can see it.
I’ve definitely got more ideas.

In L4D3, there should be a winter themed campaign that would include its own special mechanic for freezing. You will know you are getting colder based on special arrows, like the arrow indicators for pain, except blue. When you start freezing you would first begin to shiver, which would shake your cross hair, the cold arrows around your screen would be light blue. As you get colder your walking speed will slow and your melee strength would weaken, the arrows around your screen would darken a bit. Beyond this point, the edges of your screen would develop a frost-like overlay to tell you how cold you are. Your temporary health would begin to diminish quicker as you now become much (MUCH) slower and your shivering changes to sudden shakes and jerks, before you finally collapse to the ground, This is when you enter a state known as Stupor.
Being stupor, like being incapped or stuck on a ledge, requires the aid of a team mate to get you back on your feet, and while in this state your health drains away (not because its temporary).
Another disadvantage of stuporing is that you become even more vulnerable to the infected, as they can attack you just as much (if not more) as being capped, without you being able to fight back with your pistol. Damage done to you would be increased for most of the S.I. due to the fact that you aren’t fighting back, and Jockys, Chargers, and Smokers can still get you because you are kneeling upright.
A number of things can make you cold, but most of them would be environmental, like the weather. A Brisk, Damp, or Windy environment would slowly make you cold up to a certain point, so in Hard Rain (for example) you would get cold and shiver but never actually freeze to death.
Walking through snow would, aside from slowing you down, make you colder depending on how deep it is, and this goes double for if snow is falling. Being in contact with water would make you VERY cold quickly, like if you fell through some thin ice (frozen lake could be a chapter), and this also means being puked on by a Boomer.
Aside from things making you cold, it’s just as easy to warm yourself back up. You would slowly become warmer by simply being indoors for a while, and warm up faster next to a fireplace or furnace, along with being lit on fire, and even slightly by Spitter Goo. You would also be able to warm up completely by using a special Thermal Pack (would act like a medkit, unique to this campaign).
I usually don’t say this, but I’d actually like to hear some feed back and know what people think of this idea.

i think they should let you customize your survivor or add in choices with votes
i want left 4 dead to have more guns and melee weapons and i want the screamer but it only attracts a little horde without special infected only zombies
Maybe there could be an add on where you can customize the names of the survivors or add all the survivors from L4D and L4D2 and add more so when people go to play, they can choose what survivors they want to use for a certain campaign. Just some suggestions. And add more campaigns with more levels so its more challenging. More mele weapons like tennis rackets, baseball bats or everyday things that someone could’ve just grabbed out of their house in a rush.
I haven’t put too much thought into it so far but I think it would be cool if when a survivor dies and isnt brought back to life would become their own S.I and each charactor would have diff abilities as a S.I like maybe for instance one of them as a survivor could be like a war hero and as a S.I his or her ability could be something like the ability to use guns in a limited manor like unable to reload or have bad aim…. idk like I said I rly haven’t put a lot of thought into the specifics but something like that would be pretty cool I think
And just another thought that kinda ties in with my previous one is that since bill died in the sacrifice…. maybe there could be a really rare S.I that used to be bill….but he wouldn’t show up in every game… he would have to be really rare. Idk that would be kinda cool

I would love for left 4 dead to have vehicles in the next game but also more hazardeous. there really wasnt that most atmosphere trouble unless it was accidently. this will bring more realism and make some zombies & SI more dangerous. but maybe the environment can be a advantage to struggling survivours as well?
I think different safe houses should be available to go down different routes for each campaign and different endings. trading weapons and items would be very neat instead of just gettin stuff off the floor. as far as game modes, CTF\DM\TDM\SI vs Humans and each modes would be nice with faster running and maybe some power ups. Always thought it would be cool.
It would be WAYYYY more better if there was more free roam. I noticed theres a s*** load of environment that players cant explore. It would be like roaming in GTA but in a L4D world. Who knows, maybe the AI Director can let u get in contact w/ some random survivours… maybe for a favor, trades, info or tips… or maybe a infected human who will turn into a SI?
Also, I hope that Valve focus on the scare factor, not just the action. L4D is somewhat scary, but for survival horror fans and for the them would make more sense. Origns of the story and each character from the new game and previous would be cool… maybe there all connected some how?
Either or… I hope valve see this and put some consideration, I cant wait for L4D3!
Here is a compilation of all the S.I. ideas that I have that I have not recently posted about, it goes along with the idea of having a unique special infected for each campaign.
The Cheetah: This infected would have a messy shirt, a bad case of bed head, and a nice looking new pair of running shoes. If you couldn’t guess by his name, this infected has super-human speed as his ability, and he’ll use this as a way of navigating through the level at unimaginable speeds. As he runs by the survivors, the shove all of them away and knock them to the ground, either tripping them or by elbowing them straight in the face. he would be constantly panting and laughing/twitching slightly, almost like a Jockey. He would be more of an annoyance by himself, but would be a great distraction when a Spitter/Boomer attacks, and his pass-bys would be deadly during a Tank battle or panic event.
The Dusk: Looking at this infected, you would say he wears a ski-mask, gloves, and sleek black clothing, assuming you can even see part of him other than the glint of his sunglasses. He relies on stealth, sneaking around and hiding in the shadows until he can finally get close to someone, and that’s when he strikes. No, he doesn’t drag them into the darkness. No, he doesn’t lash out with any quick hand strikes. And no, he doesn’t just jump out and yell “Boo!”. All he does is quietly slip his hand into the survivors pocket, take a grenade or jar of pills out of their pocket, and then quietly slip back into the darkness before the survivors ever even know they’ve just been robbed blind. He would have an inventory much like the survivors, and he would fill it by pick-pocketing items from the survivors, each item he would need a short progress bar, depending on the worth of the item being taken (it would take a much longer time to steal a medkit than it would an adrenaline shot, which would make it much easier for a teammate to notice him). When he takes something, the icon for it would remain on your HUD until you go to reach for it, that’s when a message would pop up saying “Something has been stolen from you, avoid standing the shadows next time”. And once something is stolen, the only way to get it back by killing the Dusk that took it, which wouldn’t always be an easy task. The Dusk would drop all of things in a pile somewhere, usually an out of the way closet, so a few things can be found again, if you look hard enough for them.
The Slimmer: Ever wish you could climb on the walls and ceiling like Spider-Man? With the Slimmer, you can do just that. The Slimmer would be covered in a very sticky tar-like substance, which he makes by sweating. This tar would allow him to cling to any surface, which would leave a visible trail on the wall. His actual power is that he would spew up a large glob of this tar, which would greatly slow down the survivors if they choose to walk through it. And it would also stick the survivor in place if they were standing there before the tar hit, make them immobile until it disappears, making it impossible to help up a capped survivor if their spewed on. But that’s not all, he can also spit this goop up a wall to create a new infected ladder, to help reach survivors who are camping.
Due to a time constraint, this had to split into an extra post, I would have continued to mention:
The Bleeder: This infected adds an ability that has been long absent from the infected team, the ability to heal.The virus has caused him to produce extremely high amounts of plasma in his blood, which is used to regenerate his teammates health along with his own. He does this by spewing (very close range) this blood out of his mouth onto any near by infected. When covered, all infected will regain their health until it’s full and then some. Depending on how much health they had prior, they could actually receive a surplus of health, like being “Uber”. And his blood would also be flame retardant, which would allow him to extinguish any burning infected, deadly if he bleeds on a Tank. He would appear to be wearing either a Doctors coat or medical scrubs, implying that the cause of his ability was some sort of medicine. He would always have blood dripping out of his mouth,and he would always be making a sort of gurgling sound.
The Commando: No, he isn’t naked, he gets his name from his ability to pick up and shoot firearms. He would be an infected military solder who, after many strenuousness years of vigorous weapon training, the act of picking up and pulling the trigger is just burned into his brain. Now, being an infected, he does have some drawbacks. His aim is always slightly off (with a wobbling cross hair), and he lacks the ability to reload any guns, he simply drops them onto the ground when the clip is used up, which helps balance the teams.
I’m leaving this comment regarding your dusk zombie who steals stuff. I like the concept and clearly a smarter zombie when capable of pick pocketing, so I’d like to expand on him. perhaps the dusk has his own action ui for the items, so say in multi-player versus the Dusk zombie can run over to a wounded special and heal them with a medpack, use an adrenaline on himself to pick pockets faster… ect. So if you want the stuff back you need to be fast to catch him. Now here’s when it gets more interesting, being he is a smarter zombie if he starts messing with a grenade instead of taking it… he activates it. So say when he activates a damaging grenade you have a certain time limit to dispose of it; so with a Molotov you will get like five seconds with sound of burning cloth, your damage indicator going off (since your leg would be on fire) and your grenade slot flashing red, then with pipe bombs you will have the usual detonation time joined by the obvious beeping radiating from you and your grenade slot flashing. Boomer bile he will just let out so zombies will swarm the survivor with the bile on them so it will act as if a boomer got to you. Lol so those are my thoughts on expanding this special
Since it’s been such a long time since I made those posts, I’ve re-thought lots of things; You may have noticed the Bleeder bears striking similarity to the more recent Mummy.
For the Dusk specifically, he’s been redone into the Gremlin, being the only infected who can open doors, pick up items, he’s also the only one smaller than a Jockey. Never thought about him using any of the items; although he’s smart he shouldn’t be THAT smart. His thought process was supposed to be: “ooo, look at that shiny ‘thing’ that survivor is holding, I should take it so they don’t have it.” making him seem much more greedy. He would then take the ‘thing’ or ‘things’ and carry them off, using his shirt like a pouch (guns/melee’s are held under each arm), before dumping everything into some corner far away.
there’s a lot of new ideas we all await for but. we really should make the girl bad a** and the skill pionts count at a shop to buy supplys. and leader shuld but a smart tough marine. then clumsy doctor n an angery macanic. girl shuld be jenn haha ;p marine is Lawrence the doctor asian dude cho and macanic is john. give a real plot n a fantasy one.yay..
they should add all your points up dependent on the amount of killed infected and among special kills or lease damage taken then use whatever poits You have separately and use them on a sstore created. to provide needs like health kits, pill, shots or even other medical use.that should be used by points from. which u survived or lease damage taken. then same place dif shop u should have them able to buy weapons and more.like rpgs or vest armore or outfits or comeback titles. in order to make lfd3 a big hit u gota let the ppl feel like they are in control to have the image you the player are actual survivors in a real zombie apocalypse.got to give off more modern day material if u wanna make a big time seller. coming from me, a big time gamer with artistic skill and someone with one big adiction to killing zombies for a thrill. this could be the kill thrill everyones been askin for. u should just add realistic feature to it.and fantasy survivors feature.you know.one where everything bad could happen and all u haveis ammo li supply and buddies that if they got bit they’d come at u too.and fantasy where anything can happen kthe unreal amount of life n chances. the super cool guns ppl have dreamed for. and the actual bad a** marine that is super smart and tough and survived the end of the world to become the leader of ur group.the woman with rebel right with a hot sexy since of badass humour who did boxing all her life and leaen to suck it all up.or the doctor who knows how to keep u living with ways to figure things out but yet such a cluts and a mecanic where he can help hot wire cars and jet skiis and bikes so u can sboot and ride. but give him a temper huh? evry macanic can be alil angery.

An idea I have for new special infected is called The 4-Eyes, because he wears glasses). This would be the most intelligent of all the other infected, so much so that he even still speaks English (sort of. He mostly babbles). He is also able to communicate with any other infected, and would use them to his advantage.
His power is that he is able to “rally” other nearby infected and have them fallow him, building up a hoard that he commands. And would use them more strategically, like for setting up ambushes, or send them after a specific survivor (like the one with least health). He could tell them if they should break down any doors/walls, or weather they should wait behind them. He would even teach them not to chase pipe bombs, and that they should walk around the fire, and not through it, along with tips like telling other flaming infected to get to water.
He is able to command an negotiate with almost all the infected, with the exception being the Tank (because Tanks don’t like to be told what top do)

i know cross hair is important for aiming but it would be awesome when the crosshair is removed after getting/equipping laser sights, this will give more realistic effects.

when an player gets killed his/her body after a certain amount of time that body did not get revived, the become a zombie and attack the other survivors.
They should only come back as zombies if it’s realism mode
Honestly the game is overall awesome already. But its needs to be a more realistic fashion. Like say if a spitter directly hits you, it should have a lasting affect. Such as it would continue to hurt you one hit point at a time until you take pills or use a med kit. There should be more special infected. Such as the haggard.
I think the different survivors should be able to learn different skills throughout the game, like one of them can choose to focus on enhancing their martial arts so there would be more melee involving the body.
Secondly, the survivors would run into other survivors & be able to tag along with them to the designated areas as temporary help meaning there would be five of them until one of them dies (like Bill when he sacrificed himself) & that’s when the latter comes in as one of the group members.
There should also be different characters in the group. Personally I’d like to see a woman in her twenties being quite a b**** for her age & fashionable despite her situation for the sake of her ego & passion. But she should also be tough & versatile hence the reason why she was able to stay alive throughout the event. This emphasises on the different & contrasting characters in the group & also unpredictable as we never know who we may run into as one of the many survivors also making it more realistic.
I would like to see more special infected please and also the old ones as we already got used to them ツ And also how about we save a person while on campaigns like the one in the church or the mart… Then one of the survivors die instead! It will be more realistic as people can’t stay alive for ever! Cool!! Please release it soon!! It’s been too long…
And also please more melee weapons that can be find along the way! And more maps!

Third person aiming is off because you’re not supposed even be in third person view, It’s not even made a clear option. But for the people like you who would do wish to play using 3rd person, Valve should just make it toggleable from the options, that way even Xbox users get it (xbox can’t open up a console window)
I like the super tank idea but it would be good as a one chapter only special infected but it could be surrounded by nuclear waste and a cutscene to show it go from a normal tank to a super tank
